Storehouse Harvest Collection

Harvest

At this time of year, as we put away the summer clothes for another year, and the days get shorter and temperatures fall, many of our clients find that they face worrying new challenges, as they struggle to feed their families and cope with rising fuel costs.  As many of the energy providers raise their prices, there is a very real threat that the choice of "Eat or Heat" is one that will be faced by too many in the coming months.  Many of the people put in this situation will have disabilities or other health conditions which will be aggravated by these problems.  The tradition of donating food at "Harvest" allows us to focus on the needs of others, and donations made at this time allow Storehouse to prepare to serve the community during the coming winter.  A Harvest pack for anyone wishing to organise a collection is available on request by emailing compassion@glasgowvineyard.org.  Volunteers are also welcome to sort donations received at the foodbank during the harvest period.
