In Person Sunday Service

Sundays Services

On Sunday 17th October we returned to in-person meetings at Notre Dame High School, just at the top of Observatory Road, meeting together every Sunday and starting at 11.00.

Due to the rapidly increasing number of cases and highly infectious nature of the Omicron variant we have taken the difficult decision to hold our final service before Christmas On-Line, link here.

What to Expect at our In-Person Services

At Vineyard we say ‘Come as you are’ and our meetings are informal, people wear whatever they like and aim to be themselves. We try to make everyone feel welcome, so make sure you say hello and meet someone new. You're really welcome to join us on a Sunday whether you are a church regular or have never been before. Our morning service starts at 11.00 and lasts for about an hour and a half. Free refreshments are served beforehand, from 10.30 to 10:50 - come and get a coffee and a doughnut, or sample some home cooked goodies. It is a relaxed and informal atmosphere and anyone is welcome to come along.

At Notre Dame High School we have a fully accessible venue with free parking in the school car park and plenty of overflow space on nearby streets.

We will be following Scottish Government Covid guidelines and it remains a legal requirement to wear masks during the service.

Come as you are...

At Vineyard we say ‘Come as you are’ and our meetings are informal, people wear whatever they like and aim to be themselves. Tea, coffee and doughnuts will all be prepared and ready to be served from 10:30. The cafe will close at 10:50, so come a little early if you want to get something to eat or drink before the service.

Our aim is to make everyone feel welcome, right from their first visit, so make sure you say hello and meet someone new.

We start with worship

Connecting with God is central to what we do. A live band leads us for about 25 minutes of sung worship. The words are on the screen and you can join in or just sit back and listen.

We Learn Together

After worship and some short notices we have a talk, where one of our leaders present a message that aims to bring the Bible (God's word for us today) to life and give us practical teaching on how to apply it to our everyday lives. It's not just theory; the talks are relevant to our day to day lives and there are always things to put into practice.

and make a response

At the end of the talk we reflect on what we have heard and respond. There is the opportunity to choose to follow Jesus or to receive prayer. There is no pressure to participate, but always the chance to respond if you wish.

Kids' church

During our morning service, we run age-appropriate interactive groups for 0-11s so they can learn about Jesus in a safe and fun environment. Our volunteer welcome team at the door can help your family settle in the right places. You can sign your children into their groups from 10.45am and the groups finish at 12.30.

Finding out more

If you want to find out more about us or we have a Welcome Desk in the foyer, just as you come in and this table is usually manned by someone who can help answer any questions you may have.  You may want more information about the groups we run, or to chat to one of the team; just fill in one of the Connect Cards that come around during the service and we'd love to meet up with you.
